The UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a UK law that came into effect on 1st January 2021. GDPR impacts the way data is managed and affects all businesses. Failure to comply with these regulations could result in a maximum fine of €20 million (about £18 million) or 4% of the organisation’s annual global turnover – whichever is greater.

What are the key principles of GDPR?

- Security: Data processed in a manner that ensures adequate security, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing, loss, destruction, or damage.
